Q1:  What’s the difference between an AOG (Association of Graduates) chapter and the Air Force Academy Society of Washington (AFASW)?

Most AOG chapters center their activities around cadet, active duty officer, and organizational issues concerning the United States Air Force Academy and the USAF. The AFASW, a non-profit organization, is open to all USAFA graduates, focuses primarily on members’ growth through business, networking, and career transition preparation.

Q4: What are some of the events the AFASW has hosted?

Guest speakers have included Chairmen, Vice Presidents, and senior corporate officers of FedEx, Gulfstream, USAA, Orbital Sciences, SRA, First Albany, and others. We’ve also had government leaders (e.g., Congressmen and the first USAFA graduate to become Chief of Staff of the Air Force) speak at events. We’ve visited a NASA flight center, a cablenews station, and conducted a business simulation at Georgetown University. We’ve also been privileged to participate with Habitat for Humanity help build homes in the Metropolitan DC region.
