Quality Engineer, SRS

Candidate must be able to develop, implement, and conduct quality control
programs and procedures to assure product and material quality for missile
defense airborne and ground systems. Oversees element/contractor development,
implementation, and maintenance of quality inspection programs for incoming,
process, and final approval material and product inspections. Analyzes
compiled data from test and inspection reports to identify problems.
Summarizes and presents data into major points and submits to management for
review and action. Plans, conducts, and reports Quality System Audits on
supplier/subcontractor processes.
Excellent customer communication/interaction and presentation skills to
various technical and non-technical audiences are required. Written skills
must demonstrate the ability to accurately describe technical
processes/requirements in a logical and grammatically correct manner.
Knowledge of flight hardware components and systems is preferred. Strong
inspection skills and experience are a plus.
BS in Engineering or major science (i.e., math or physics); MS in Engineering
desired. 7 or more years of directly related experience. In lieu of degree and
7 years experience, 15 years of directly related work experience may be
substituted.
Must have Security Clearance: Active or recently active within last 2 years.

Program Manager, SRS
Manages technical production, systems development, project management,
contracts administration and personnel administration; and does related work
as required. Participates in new business development and long range
planning; plans and allocates project level work activities to staff,
consultants and sub-contractors; monitors performance reports and progress
updates. Researches and analyzes operational, testing and evaluation
requirements for missile defense Mission Assurance Programs; assesses
operational missions and program goals; prepares correspondence and briefs
customer representatives, staff and consultants concerning program
developments, customer feedback, scheduling and progress updates.
Responsible for properly identifying customer problems and issues,
researching program requirements, and determining the most effective
solution and use of staffing resources given technical qualifications and
contractual requirements. Manager meets regularly with customer to discuss
work in progress and new business development. Regularly interacts with
staff, consultants, and subcontractors concerning budgetary, personnel, and
contract administration activities.
Technical management of the mission assurance program includes providing
technical oversight and direction to the System Safety support to develop
safety requirements and policies, provide safety oversight, and develop
safety metric program for a variety of missile defense projects. Manager
provides the technical management and oversight of the Quality Assurance
programs and procedures to assure product and material quality. Develops,
implements, and maintains quality inspection programs for incoming, process,
and final approval material and product inspections.
Education/Training: BS in Engineering or major science (i.e., math or
physics). Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 10 or more years of diverse management and technical application
experience within missile defense Mission Assurance support services. Must
have experience in support contract management.
Must have Security Clearance: Active or recently active within last 2 years.

Senior Systems Safety Engineer, SRS
Provide System Safety support to develop safety requirements and policies,
provide safety oversight, and develop a safety metric program for a variety
of missile defense projects. Requires comprehensive knowledge of safety
concepts and standards gained through a combination of education and
experience with missile/space launch vehicle development, testing, launch
operations, and ground support equipment. Requires experience in conducting
independent and complex analyses to evaluate system design, accident risk
factors, and hazardous energy sources and recommending major abatement or
mitigation actions to prevent or correct safety hazards. In particular, a
comprehensive knowledge of standards regarding missile flight analysis
and/or mission flight control is a plus. Experience in applying missile
flight analysis and/or mission flight control standards in practice for a
variety of mission scenarios at a variety of ranges is highly desirable.
Knowledge or wide-ranging experience with space vehicle hardware, launch
vehicle hardware, range and operational safety, ground system hardware,
radar hardware, telemetry systems, and sensor hardware is desirable.

Systems Engineer, SRS
Provides support for mission assurance and systems management efforts.
Maintains overall knowledge of projects/systems management, systems
engineering, risk management, systems safety, reliability engineering, and
quality assurance. Responsible for responding to customer requests,
researching requirements, and formulating approaches to most effectively
support customer needs using all available resources within technical, cost,
schedule, and other contractual constraints. Requires considerable knowledge
of aerospace project/systems management practices, applied knowledge of
engineering design, technical performance verification/validation, risk
management, risk assessment, and probabilistic risk assessment techniques
relevant to the aerospace industry.
Examines and evaluates system, historical, and technical information to
formulate present and potential mission requirements. Identifies performance
and operational issues and recommends modifications of system designs
through written reports, briefings, or analyses in light of mission
requirements and competing systems. Develops effectiveness measures
including systems need, environment, constraints, and operations concepts.
Draws conclusions and verifies computational and quantitative analysis.
Compiles summaries and reports for customer representatives and answers
technical questions regarding project scheduling and work requirements.
Prepares charts and graphs as supporting data; edits and rewrites reports
and narrative for technical accuracy; and interacts with customer
representatives concerning the status of assigned tasks.
Excellent customer communication/interaction and presentation skills to
various technical and non-technical audiences are required. Written skills
must demonstrate the ability to accurately describe technical
processes/requirements in a logical and grammatically correct manner.
Education/Training: BS in Engineering (Aerospace, EE, ME, or major science
(i.e., math or physics)) and an advanced degree in an engineering specialty
or related area field are desirable.
Experience: 7 or more years of directly related aerospace engineering
experience with demonstrated experience in a specialty field of engineering,
e.g., electrical engineering.

Senior Systems Engineer, SAIC
The Counterproliferation System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division
has an immediate opening in our Alexandria VA office for a Senior Systems
Engineer. Customer is the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). DTRA is
developing counterproliferation / counterforce capabilities for the CoComs for
countering weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Primary focus involves system
engineering and integration of CW and BW agent collection, detection, and
identification systems on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The engineer will
be responsible for meeting a full spectrum of SE&I requirements including:
system analysis; documenting requirements; system engineering and integration;
developing and documenting system and software architectures and requirements;
developing design solutions; engineering development of multiple system and
subsystem components including BW collection and identification subsystems and
mini-UAV subsystems; defining system interfaces; system testing and
verification; and programmatic scheduling. Candidate will also implement EVMS
project control and accounting practices. Individual will be part of a very
dynamic team of junior and senior system engineers. The engineer will support
planning and execution of field demonstrations of system technologies
utilizing operational commands and agencies to verify operational performance,
concepts-of-operation, and military utility. Products of this effort have a
direct impact on national security and have been very recently used in
Operation Iraqi Freedom! Travel is required. Candidate must comply with

Senior C-CBRNE Analyst, SAIC
Position is full-time, located in Crystal City.
Analyst will support an Air Force client responsible for full range of
issues related to countering the threat from chemical, biological,
radiological, nuclear, and high yield explosive (C-CBRNE) weapons.
Individual will lead and support policy-related projects. Range of projects
includes: counterforce CONOPS development, improving installation level
biological defense, integrating C-CBRNE into guidance and doctrine,
supporting Counter-radiological efforts, the C-CBRNE Council, and others.
M.A. strongly desired; understanding of USAF required. Position involves
policy issues and operational impacts of CBRNE use; does not require a
technical background.
